Returns & Refund Policy

At UKBookworm, we want every customer to be fully satisfied with their purchase. We take pride in accurately describing all books and ensuring they arrive in the same fine condition as advertised.
If you are not completely happy with your order, please read our returns and refund terms below.

Our Promise

We guarantee that every book listed on our website is described honestly and to the best of our knowledge.
If we make an error in the description of a title, we will offer you either a very fine replacement (if available) or a full refund for the returned item.

Eligibility for Returns

You may return an item for a full refund or exchange if:

  • The item was damaged during transit; or
  • The item was mis-described or incorrect.

For all other reasons (for example, change of mind), we are happy to consider a return provided:

  • The book is returned in the same condition as when sold; and
  • The return is made within 14 days of receipt.
  • We cannot return your postal costs either way if you have “changed your mind”. For your own peace of mind please be sure you really want the title or collection before ordering. To date there has only been one or two occurrences in the last 25 years.

How to Return an Item

  1. Contact Us before returning any book so we can issue a returns reference.
  2. Repackage the item carefully using suitable materials to protect it during transit.
  3. Send the book to the address provided, including your order reference number.
  4. Once received and inspected, your refund or replacement will be processed promptly.

We strongly recommend using a tracked  service for all returns.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued via your original payment method within 5 working days of the item’s safe return.
Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to process the funds.

Shipping costs are non-refundable once an item has been dispatched, unless the return is due to our error.

Damaged Goods

In the unlikely event your book arrives damaged:

  • Please photograph the item and packaging immediately upon receipt.
  • Email the images to us with your order reference number.
  • We will arrange a refund or replacement once the claim is verified.

We take every precaution with packaging and have an excellent record of safe delivery, but we will always make things right if a problem occurs.
