Shipping & Customs

Important information Please note.

Dispatch Times

We aim to dispatch all orders as soon as practically possible — usually within three working days.
If we receive multiple orders for the same title or experience an unexpected delay, we’ll contact you directly.
You will be notified by the courier when your parcel has been collected and is on its way, provided you supply a mobile number and email address at checkout.
(Please note: courier companies no longer accept landline numbers for delivery updates.)

UK Deliveries

All UK orders are shipped via Royal Mail or other trusted domestic couriers.
We take great care to ensure that every book arrives safely and in the same fine condition it left us.

International Shipping

We ship worldwide to certain locations only (check below) using FedEx for tracked international deliveries wherever possible.

Countries We Currently Ship To:

  • United Kingdom
  • United States of America (USA)
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

If FedEx does not service your area, we will use another reliable courier.
Due to high import charges in certain regions (such as Australia and Canada), we often use Royal Mail to minimise costs for customers.

Important EU Shipping Update

We regret to inform our customers that currently we have to stop shipping to Europe due to the new EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) regulations, which impose high costs that are beyond the reach of most small businesses.

We hope to reinstate European shipping in the future if these regulations become more manageable. As Eu -Eu shipments suffer the same issues there is a movement within Europe to get the commission to adjust the rules so that small businesses under a certain turnover threshold will be exempt from the regulations. The UK sales turnover threshold is £1000,000.

Thank you for your understanding.

Packaging Standards

Protecting your investment is important to us.
We use strong twin-walled cartons with ample internal protection for every order.
We are proud to note that we have not experienced any book damage in transit for many years, but we continue to improve our standards to ensure maximum protection.

Import Duties and Taxes

For all international orders, the customer is considered the importer of record.
You are responsible for paying any import duties, taxes, or customs fees applicable in your destination country.
If your shipment incurs charges, it is the customer’s responsibility to cover these costs. If Customs and Duties are not paid by the customer (buyer) the parcel will be returned to us and a returns fee will be charged to you.

For all International orders, the customer is considered the importer of record.

We ship only to the address provided at checkout and are not responsible for any onward forwarding or handling beyond this point.

Courier Issues

If you experience a courier problem, please contact us — we may be able to resolve it directly with the courier.
We have shipped hundreds of parcels worldwide each year and have had only one courier issue in the past decade, thanks to our use of reputable, careful delivery partners.

Refunds and Returns

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged:

  • Please photograph the packaging and item on arrival.
  • Return the parcel to us, and we will issue a full refund once received.

If you simply change your mind, we can refund the cost of the books once they are returned in the same condition they were sold.
Shipping costs are non-refundable once goods have been dispatched.
